Description
The Datsun 1600 and 2000 Roadsters are among the most collectible Japanese sports cars of the 1960s, direct predecessors to the legendary Z-car and beloved by enthusiasts for their rev-happy twin-cam engines and nimble handling. As open-top cars, the dashboard takes the full brunt of sun, rain, and temperature extremes, and after sixty-plus years the factory vinyl pad is invariably cracked and deteriorated. This Dashtop dash cover is precision-formed from UV-stable ABS plastic to fit the shared instrument panel design of both the 1600 and 2000 models, installing directly over the original dashboard.
Clean the existing dash surface, apply the included silicone adhesive, and set the Dashtop overlay in place. The cover bonds permanently and provides lasting UV protection for the original pad beneath. For owners of these increasingly valuable roadsters, this American-made dash cover carries Dashtop's lifetime warranty and is one of very few new-production restoration parts available.
